Katy, a member of the Mane Attractions 4-H Horse Club, was the first to qualify with Shantah’s Little Man in production for 3-year-old half-Arabian gelding.

Next to qualify was Lyndi on Pinto Beans in English Grooming and Showmanship, Junior Division, with older sister Madison following on Impressive Slickchic in Open Trail Ponies and Western Pleasure Ponies (large). Both are members of the Timber Talk Trotters 4-H Horse Club.

Emily earned her spot at the state show on Destined to be King in Classic Hunter Under Saddle Junior Rider.

Natalie had an excellent ride and placed third in the Hunt Seat Equitation Senior Division, (on the flat) on Dundee Zebra, but only the top two went on to the state show. However, three weeks prior to the event, Natalie’s family received an email asking if she could represent Lawrence County since the second-place rider had scratched — making all five cousins state qualifiers.

On Oct. 29, Emily and Destined to be King competed and earned a ninth-place ribbon. Later, Natalie competed in her class with Dundee Zebra and had a nice ride but did not place.
