Caroline Bauer wins regional Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest

Caroline Bauer, an Upper Gwynedd resident and student at St. Rose of Lima School in North Wales, won the regional Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest. Bauer will represent the Southeastern region at the state finals. Bauer (left) is pictured with her father, Dave Bauer.

Spring-Ford Girls 10-year-old team wins second straight ICBA title

The Spring-Ford girls 10-year-old travel basketball team recently completed their second consecutive undefeated season in the ICBA travel league, which consists of teams from Montgomery and Bucks counties and New Jersey, with a 22-14 win over Audubon in the championship game. Over the past two seasons the team has gone 40-2 in regular season, playoff and tournament play.

North Penn Aquatic Club sends 27 to Middle Atlantic Junior Olympics

The North Penn Aquatic Club sent 27 members to the Middle Atlantic Swimming Junior Olympic Age Group Championships March 10-13 at the Gloucester County Institute of Technology in Sewell, N.J.

Jaylene Everett of Harleysville first in All-Around at Red Rose Invitational

Jaylene Everett of Harleysville and a Level 8 Gymnast at Spirit Gymnastics in North Wales competed in the Red Rose Invitational in Lancaster on March 5, placing first on vault (9.15), second on bars (9.05), third on beam (9.075), second on floor (9.375) and first in the all-around with 36.65.

U11 FC Towamencin wins United Indoor State Cup

Towamencin Soccer Club’s U11 girls FC Towamencin won the US Club Soccer’s Leagues United Indoor State Cup on Feb. 26 with a dramatic overtime win against Reading Berks. The team also won EPYSA Indoor Cup in January. The team has played 10 games between the two competitions, going 9-1.
