Local girls basketball squad wins second gold at Mid-Atlantic Junior Maccabi Games
A basketball team comprised of local girls, 12 and under, went 6-0 to win the gold medal for the second straight year at the 2010 Mid-Atlantic Junior Maccabi Games, otherwise known as the Jewish Olympics, May 16 at the Kaiserman Jewish Community Center in Haverford. The team earned victories over squads from Greater Washington, D.C. (twice), Allentown, Jewish Community Center on the Palisades, Harrisburg and Metro West, N.J. in the finals.
