TSC Tigers take first at EPYSA Indoor Cup

The follow recap was written by the TSC Tigers' Katie Kukk
On Feb. 19, the TSC Tigers played in the indoor cups at the United Sports Center and were Cup Champions.

In the first three games the Tigers scored ten goals and allowed none. The Tigers worked really hard to win the ball and maintain possession. Then the Tigers reached the semifinals against Lionville and beat them 1-0,  launching the Tigers into the finals.

The Tigers played as a team and worked hard. In the Championship game, the Tigers continued to fight and control the ball and won this game 1-0. The only goal in the Championship game was scored by Sophia Broadhurst, who made a beautiful head ball just out of reach of the goalie's hands. I'm very proud of my team winning the indoor state cup and leaving everything on the field.

TSC U11 Tigers win second division title in three years

Note: The following recap was written by TSC U11 Tigers member Maggie Zipfel.

For the second time in three years, the  U11 Tigers  of the  Towemencin Soccer Club  won their division championship.

We won seven of our 10 league games, and scored 31 times, allowing only six goals to be scored against us.  During the summer, we were also successful in a non-league tournament.  The Tigers tied for first place and went undefeated in the Harleysville soccer tournament.

With the help of our coaches, we work hard throughout the entire year to improve and be successful. Our team motto is “We attack as a TEAM,we defend as a TEAM.”

The 2011 Tiger players and coaching staff are: Head coach Paul Kukk, assistant coach Brian Doherty, assistant coach Joe Pearson, Morgan Zipfel,Katie Kukk, Sydney Doherty, Cailee Pearson,Elia Namey,Sydney Roth, Kiara Pile, Sophia Broadhurst, Jackie Halteman, Katherine Von Abo, Jessica Lanning, Emily Warfield, Rachel Rosenblatt and Maggie Zipfel.

We have fun as a team throughout the year, and we love doing things together outside of playing soccer.  That is what makes us a team.
