Sportswear Plus wins 18U VIGS championship

Sportswear Plus from North Penn Valley Girls Softball Association recently won the 18U VIGS Softball championship. The team scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to come back and defeat Deep Run 4-3.

Harleysville 10U takes second at Quakertown Tournament

The Harleysville 10U baseball team took second place in the Quakertown Tournament.

Brandon Michener takes first at Pennsylvania 4-H air-rifle shooting

Brandon Michener of Collegeville recently took first place in the senior division at the Pennsylvania 4-H air-rifle shooting competition at Penn State. Michener and his teammates, Shannon McMahon, Jasper Huff, and Rachel Prige Mumenthaler, finished in second in the team contest. The Montgomery 4-H team is coached by Greg Muse.

Montgomery County Quarter Midget Racing


Cassi Pinder (right),  the current Miss TOTH,  recently participated in her last race in the Half Midget class at the Montomgery County Quarter Midget Racing Club after a long career. Pinder is joined in victory lane by Blaine Bracelin, the race winner. Bracelin also competes in a modified at Grandview Speedway.

Towamencin wins Bux-Mont Connie Mack 'C"

Towamencin won the Bux-Mont Connie Mack 'C' title on July 22, earning victories in nine out of 10 games and seven straight in seven days.

TYA U12 Sunday Select wins ASA Southeast PA Regional Championship


The TYA U12 Sunday Select softball team took first place in the ASA Southeast Pennsylvania Regional Class 'C' Fast Pitch Championship with a 7-4 victory over Annville-Cleona. The team went undefeated in the tournament, held in Doylestown July 17-18.

Harleysville Hornets 12U wins DRVSA Field of Dreams Tournament


The Harleysville Hornets 12U travel baseball team earned first place at the Deep Run Valley Sports Association’s 11th Annual Field of Dreams Tournament.


The Hornets went 5-0, recording wins by the scores of 11-1, 9-4, 5-0, 10-0 and 4-3 in the finals. In the championship game, Nate Luscombe pitched a complete game and went 3-for-3 with a single, a two- run home run and a game-winning solo home run in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Banshees 14U tie for third at PONY 14U Nationals


The Banshees Fastpitch Softball 14U team from Horsham competed at the PONY 14U Travel/Select Nationals in Cary, N.C. against teams from within the United States and Canada. The Banshees were highly successful, reaching the final four out of 75 teams and tied for third place with the North Jersey Jaguars.
